The Team Who We Are... Amie Savell Designer | Creative Director Meet Amie, Amie started her floral journey 20 years ago working at a local grocery store. She expanded her knowledge and worked for some of Houston's TOP floral design firms. Opening the doors to her own shop in 2012, College Park Flowers has grown from a small daily delivery floral shop to one of the most sought out wedding and event production companies. If you don't catch her at the showroom working, you'll find her spending time with her two children & husband. Some of her favorite design styles include natural, and organic with a touch of modern, however she is trained in every style of floral design! Jen Sanders Office Manager Meet Jen, Starting with College Park Flowers in 2019, Jen has become a vital part of the everyday operations here at CPF. Since joining the wedding industry 10 years ago, she has gained extensive knowledge in accounting & administrative responsibilities. When she isn't working, she is spending time with her husband, Kyle & son, Grayson! She also loves country music and going out dancing with her friends! Leigha Baker Social Media & Marketing Manager Meet Leigha, Leigha runs all of the social media and marketing here at CPF. She loves all things floral and decor! Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband, her animals and renovating and decorating her new home! Eric Martinez Design Room Manager Meet Eric, Eric left the oil and gas industry to flower charm over 5 years ago. His favorite thing to design is bouquets because they make memories that last a lifetime. In his free time he loves spending time with his husband and their pups. They also love decorating their bungalow with over the top seasonal decor! Carol Dimas Designer Meet Carol, Carol has been in the wedding & event industry for 7 years. It gets her excited to design beautiful things for the clients! Her favorite part of the industry is wedding day set up. Seeing it all come together and the smiles of the clients faces make all of the hard work worth it. In her spare time, she likes to sit beach side with a cocktail in her hand! JoJo Sandoval Designer Meet Jojo, Jojo has been in the floral industry for 37 years. He is a Galveston native & enjoys spending time on the beach. His favorite thing to design is large scale arrangements. His favorite thing to do is spend time and shop with his nieces and nephews as well as going to Neiman Marcus! Starting at College Park Flowers in 2021, Gaby is the person that makes everything in the design room happen! She enjoys learning new design techniques from her fellow designers. Gaby has a natural talent & is surely to become a top designer here at CPF. When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids & family! ​ Gabriella Vargas Assistant Designer Meet Gaby, Jayce Samson Project Manager Meet Jayce, Jayce has been with CPF since the beginning. He is responsible for all of our big builds and large scale installations. He is a fantastic welder and creator! He enjoys fishing, anything outdoors, riding his motorcycles and bikes. Kyle Sanders Inventory Manager Meet Kyle, Kyle has been in the wedding & event industry for 10 years. Here at CPF he is responsible for the execution of all inventory needs for your event! In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jen & son Grayson. He also loves to fish on his time off! ​ Ian Lehmann Freelancer Meet Ian, Ian is a professional freelance florist of 7 years. He loves working on large scale weddings with big installations. When he isn't at CPF he services other local & national florists across the country. Ally Marion Freelancer Meet Ally, Ally is a professional floral designer of one year. Her favorite things to design are bouquets and installations. In her free time, Ally enjoys going to the theater, spending time with family and friends, and watching TV with her cats. College Park Flowers at The Astorian Click here to contact The Astorian A Gathering of Greens.. Organic, earthy, natural. These were the three words Madeleine used when describing the florals for her wedding day. Fitting because her maiden name is...Green! I love when brides incorporate names, experiences, or items from their everyday life into their design. It's authentic & really helps create that perfect day they have always dreamed of. Keeping the blooms simple and sweet while really focusing on the greenery & foliage was something I thought would create that earthy look she was going for. ​ Imagine you were walking through a field of green, green grass up to your waist and as you're walking through, you find little blooms along the way....THATS what we were going for. The delicateness of the sweet peas to the boldness of the anemones gave this that organic look while adding in lisianthus and ranunculus allowed us to create wispiness to this design. ​ Did I mention that this entire design was planned in 2 weeks? Now I'm not saying you should wait that long to contact us or...your florist (which should be us) but it has been done! With unfortunate circumstances from her previous florist (sh** happens) we were able to step in and help Madeleine and her fiancé out to create this magical day for them! ​ TEXTURE, TEXTURE, TEXTURE. All I could think about when planning her decor options. Don't be afraid to shake it up and mix & match your decor for your tables! We sure weren't...and if I do say so myself, IT WORKS! The herringbone vases, paired with our cut crystal votives give it that natural effortless look that we were ultimately going for. ​ When it came to the furniture, I wanted to keep it simple. Let the flowers do the talking. The Astorian is an amazing space to add lounge areas into. There are plenty of nooks & crannies to create that intimate lounging experience for your guests. The end tables, coffee tables, chairs and sofas elevated this wedding and made for plenty of comfortable seating areas..and with places to set your cocktail while you're boogying on the dance floor. 10/10 would recommend renting furniture for your big day! ​ All in all, this wedding was absolutely incredible & we are OBSESSED with the entire design aesthetic.
